The Power of Unity is Undeniable

Psalm 133: 1-3 "How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron’s beard, down on the collar of his robe. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the Lord bestows his blessing, even life forevermore. (NIV).

A common saying is that "a tree cannot make a forest." Statements like this are expected to inspire people to work together in unity. The Bible is very clear about the topic of unity. There are many instances in the Bible, both in the Old and New Testaments, of how the power of unity is undeniable. When people come together, incredible things can happen – plans are made, events are organized, and even miracles can occur. By working together, we can achieve far more than we could alone. So, let's take a moment to appreciate the amazing things that can happen when we unite towards a common goal.

One of the most striking instances in the bible about unity is Jesus' final prayer for his disciples before his crucifixion in John 17:21: "I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me (NLT). We see here that the coming together of believers with one mind is a sign that we belong to Christ.

In the previous devotions for this month, we looked at the importance of working together and how fellowships can help you stay on track. Interacting and building relationships is unavoidable for Christian workers, students, professionals, and business people, and we know that not much can be achieved if this interaction is not done in unity.

There is still so much ground to conquer in bringing the gospel to the world, and we will not be able to do this task if we work in isolation. Building healthy Christian communities is essential. We invite you to join the movement today!
