Tent USA is the United States branch of Tent International. We exist to help the Church understand, embrace and practice the biblical model of tentmaking—and to equip and send Christians to serve God through their professions, businesses and studies around the world.
We educate and advocate for tentmaking, equip Christians for cross-cultural service, and send and support tentmakersthrough Tent's global network and GO Programs.
Our Story
Our story began in 1984 with the founding of Global Opportunities, a ministry created to help Christians use their professional skills to serve God cross-culturally.
The ministry later became Global Intent and, for more than four decades, has helped Christians and churches understand and pursue tentmaking as a meaningful expression of God's mission.
Today, that legacy continues as Tent USA, fully integrated into Tent International and connected to a growing global movement of tentmakers.
The name has changed, but the calling remains: helping Christians take the Gospel into workplaces and communities around the world through their everyday work and life

We believe sending is more than helping someone get to the field. It means preparing them well and continuing to walk alongside them as they live and serve cross-culturally.
Working With the Church
The local church has an essential role in recognizing, preparing, commissioning and caring for Christians called to serve cross-culturally.
Tent USA comes alongside churches with specialized experience in tentmaking—providing training, mentoring, sending structures and ongoing support.
Our goal is to help the Church recognize that the professionals already sitting in its pews may be uniquely equipped to take the Gospel to places traditional missionaries cannot easily go.
What We Believe
Tent USA stands within the historic evangelical Christian faith.
We believe in the divine inspiration, trustworthiness and authority of the Bible; the deity of Jesus Christ; His substitutionary death for the redemption of the world; His bodily resurrection; the work of the Holy Spirit in regeneration and in the life of every believer; and the personal return of Jesus Christ.
These convictions shape who we are, how we serve and how we prepare and send tentmakers.
