What GO Experience is
An introductory seminar that helps Christians see their work, business or studies as a genuine space for ministry. Over four sessions, you'll come to understand what it means to be a tentmaker, and how to put that into practice in your everyday life.
Biblical Foundations
Where the concept of the tentmaker comes from, and why it starts with the example of Paul. Accordion content: We'll look at where the concept of the tentmaker comes from, examining Paul's example in Acts 18 alongside Old Testament figures such as Daniel, Esther and Nehemiah, who served God with integrity while holding positions in government and business.
A Theology of Work
Why God created work, and why it isn't "less spiritual" than ministry. Accordion content: We'll walk through what the Bible teaches about work, from Eden to the New Testament, to understand why God created it and to break down the idea that spiritual work counts for more than secular work.
Entrepreneurship
For anyone who wants to use a business as a tool for mission. Accordion content: We'll introduce the concept of Business as Mission (BAM), companies that exist intentionally for the advancement of the gospel and seek to create impact across four areas: financial, social, environmental and spiritual.
Steps to Becoming a Tentmaker
How to move from theory to taking your first practical steps. Accordion content: With this biblical foundation in place, we'll talk about the practical, spiritual and professional preparation needed to serve God through your profession, helping you sketch out your own next steps.
By the end of the four sessions, you won't just walk away with more information. You'll have direct contact with people who are living this out in practice.
