Hunger for a Touch of God!
We had a life-changing trip to Kenya!
Upon arriving in Nairobi, we had to endure another 5-hour drive to get to our destination. But despite the length of time, the journey was an adventure in itself. We were able to witness the vibrant and diverse landscape of Kenya, filled with cars, motorbikes, people, animals, and lush greenery.
It's impossible to miss the divine touch in nature's breathtaking beauty. It was evident that agriculture is a predominant industry in the area. During my visit, I noticed that a large number of buildings and their respective businesses were named after biblical figures as a way of giving honor to the Lord. This was quite surprising to me.
Based on my personal experience, I've noticed that as a foreigner and a Christian in Kenya, there's often an expectation for me to provide some form of divine intervention. The way Kenyans pray is truly remarkable - their passion is palpable, and you can feel the intensity of their faith. It's an experience unlike any other - you're completely immersed in their fervent prayers.
The community exudes warmth and respect towards each other and outsiders. They have a deep devotion to God, prayer, and worship, and eagerly anticipate divine intervention.
Throughout the week that we spent there, we saw how Jesus provided healing, deliverance, restoration, and refreshment, and I believe that touched by the Holy Spirit gained a new perspective on life. Our approach was marked by humility, love, and the authority of Jesus and our leadership.
Time was not a concern for those we assisted; they simply wanted to experience the touch of God. Some even came to pray every day of the week in order to receive His touch. We witnessed the powerful movement of the Lord in their lives and saw new relationships form as a result.
